About the Founder of Friends in Focus
Friends in Focus was originally founded by Laura J. Zaky, a multi-talented, tenacious person who has had careers in Hair and Makeup Design and IT software development. Laura had a vision of creating a space for people who were wanting to open their minds to sprituality and healing. A space where people of like mind could meet to share and grow. The first meeting called "The Awakening", was held on the 9th September 2003 in Cobham, Surrey and the group met on a monthly basis after that. Laura and her family moved to Glastonbury in 2005 but because of family and work commitments, Laura found it impossible to commute. Laura handed over the running of Friends in Focus to Lyn Cornell who formerly ran the successful Positive Living Group in Kingston, Surrey for many years and Emma Armstrong who is a Life Coach and trained in California with Denise Linn on Past-Life Coaching and Soul Coaching. Friends in Focus has gone from strength to strength and we still meet once a month in West End, Esher, Surrey. We would like to acknowledge and thank Laura for her vision and energy in starting Friends in Focus.
